Web-Based Library Information System Application with QR Code Support (Case Study at SMK Negeri 1 Tambusai)

Abstract

Libraries consist of various types of libraries and one of them is the school library. The library is one of the supports in increasing learning resources as well as a forum for various scientific disciplines which also support or as a means to educate the nation's life, especially in the field of education. Currently the use of QR Code is a medium that is used to deliver information quickly and get a fast response without inputting manually by typing. QR Code is a matrix type symbol with a cell structure arranged in a box, QR code is a type of matrix code or two-dimensional barcode developed by Denso Wave, a division of Denso Corporation which is a Japanese company and published in 1994 with the main functionality of can be easily read by a scanner QR is an abbreviation of quick response or quick response, which is in accordance with its purpose is to convey information quickly and get a fast response as well. This is contrary to the library at SMK Negeri 1 Tambusai until now still using the conventional bookkeeping system and the absence of a computerized system which is considered less effective and efficient if the data is managed in large quantities.
