Author Guidelines

Instructions for Authors:

Authors must submit their manuscripts online by first registering as an author on the website https://zakirjournal.com/jukoti/. For each submitted article, authors are required to adhere to the terms and conditions as specified in the Journal of Computer and Technology (JUKOTI) Style Guide (available for download on the Style Guide page).

Submission Guidelines:

  1. Original Work: The text submitted by the authors must be original scholarly work, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  2. Types of Contributions: The proposed text can be a research result (field/literature), conceptual idea, research, theory application, and criticism in the fields of social sciences, humanities, and technology.
  3. Language and Formatting: Manuscripts can be written in Indonesian or English, using Times New Roman font, size 12, single-spaced, and in a single-column format.
  4. Abstract: Manuscripts must begin with an abstract of 100-150 words written in both Indonesian and English. The English abstract should be italicized and use font size 10. Titles, abstracts, and keywords must be written in both Indonesian and English.
  5. Abstract Content: The abstract must clearly indicate the problem background, objectives, theory and methods, findings or novel ideas, and main conclusions.
  6. Author Details: Authors' names should be written without academic titles. If the manuscript is written by a team or more than one person, the editor will communicate only with the primary author or the first-listed author.
  7. Manuscript Structure: The manuscript should be organized into five subheadings in the following order: (a) Introduction: includes problem identification, literature review, research objectives, and research benefits, (b) Methods: consists of how the research was conducted and a description of the materials, equipment, and procedures used, (c) Results and Discussion: describes research or analysis results and can be presented in sub-sections, (d) Conclusion: written in summary form, and if necessary, each paragraph containing research conclusions may be numbered, (e) References: References listed alphabetically according to the APA Citation Style.
  8. Reference Management: Use the Mendeley application to facilitate the inclusion of references. Review manuscripts can be written in Indonesian or English, comprising 5-7 pages.
  9. Review Manuscripts: Should be written in the following order: book identity, author biography, introduction, discussion, and cover.
  10. Obituary Manuscripts: Can be written in Indonesian or English, comprising 3-5 pages. Reference sources/citations listed in the manuscript should be primary sources in the form of research reports or articles published in scientific journals/magazines within the last 10 years.
  11. Citation Technique: The writing technique for citations uses the attached reference technique (name, year).
  12. Article Format: Articles must comply with the Journal of Computer and Technology (JUKOTI) Style Guide.
  13. Publication Status: Articles must not have been published in any media and must not be under consideration by other journals.
  14. Plagiarism-Free: Articles must not contain plagiarism, falsification, or fabrication of data.
  15. Article Fees: This journal charges a fee to authors.
